Yayasan IDEP’s ‘Bali Updates’ communications at time of Bali Bombing

About the ‘Bali Updates’
The following is an index of the key communications that were prepared and sent out by Yayasan IDEP’s Director in the days immediately following the Bali Bombing. They are useful for increasing understanding about some of the aspects of the response activities that took place on the ground in Bali at that time.

The ‘Bali Update’ was initially created as a tool for distributing clear information about actual needs on the ground at Sanglah Hospital out to the general community on Bali and to enlist support needed.

Then the emails started to be forwarded on to people outside of the island as an eye witness account which clarified some of the confusing information that was being sent out by the mass media. This naturally created a huge influx of inquiries and requests for further information about how people locally, and worldwide, could help in Bali’s great time of need. Much of Yayasan IDEP’s activities for the response to the Bali Bomb were built out of information received through these channels. We wish to take this opportunity to thank everyone that supported all the efforts that were made possible by this.

A complete set of the original ‘Bali Updates’ documents are stored on line on the ‘Bali Relief Ubud’ (BARU) website, which was created after the Bali Bombing Tragedy to share information from various sources and to facilitate collaboration amongst the different organizations that were helping to rebuild Bali. Clicking on any of the headings below will to take you to that website where you can read the full documents.
