Disaster Management > Emergency Response Bumi Sehat Aceh Clinic

In January 2005, in conjunction with Yayasan Bumi Sehat, IDEP established a modest bamboo clinic and counseling centre at Cot Seulamat, Samatiga. International and Indonesian medical support volunteers have been providing the primary medical care and informal stress counseling in the area and thousands of patients have been treated to date. Since the first clinic opened its bamboo door in February, over 17,000 patients have been treated and the new Clinic / Community Centre services seven villages. As part of IDEP's exit strategy from Samatiga, all of the our facilities and key assets have been handed over to the Bumi Sehat Foundation to ensure ongoing project implementation.
As of November 2005, Yayasan Bumi Sehat took over the funding and operation of the new clinic school programs click here
