> Our Women’s Micro Enterprise Programs |
|
After the Bali bombing tragedy of 2002 there were widespread economic impacts due to the drop in tourism on Bali. In response, Yayasan IDEP Foundation launched two economic development programs.
One of these women’s micro enterprise programs’ supports the development of community based women’s enterprises. It includes a micro scale funding scheme, and entrepreneur capacity building. This program alleviates poverty by generating income and reducing local unemployment for women in some of Bali’s poor rural areas.
Our second economic development program is a community owned cooperative which provides small entrepreneurs with micro credit loans to support their enterprises development. A percentage of the co-op’s profits are allocated for local social and educational development programs.
